More fun with Phones

This past Friday, Dec 14, my last remaining grandparent (my adoptive mother's mother) passed away. As is usually the case when a family member passes, I have been in nearly constant contact with my family.

Sunday I went to the store and on the way there I checked my phone...my husband had put it on silent earlier that morning when he had it with him...I switched off the silent ring and noted that I had one missed call. The missed call was identified as being from "Mum Cell", which of course is my mother's cell phone. I deleted the missed call alert and noted that I had a new voicemail. I dialed voicemail to listen to my message, which supposedly was from my mum earlier that day.
I could hear TV in the background and a kid talking...not sure if the kid was on the TV or not. The person leaving the message was a man, youngish...maybe in his 20's it sounded like. He said "[my name], call your Dad."

So, of course, the first thing I think of is 'oh no, Mum is sick because of losing her Mum.' So, worried, I call the cellphone.

My mum answers and I ask her if she called and she said no, I asked if anyone else had called and she said no. We can not figure out who it was that called me, from her cellphone, which was in the kitchen all day and they were home. What is also weird is that the caller used my legal name. I legally changed my name back to my birth name several years ago, but my parents and my (adoptive) family use the name I was given when adopted, which was NOT the name the caller used. Still not sure who it was or how they called from my mum's cell...or even how they had my cell number, very few people have it.

Phones.
